Howard Wang’s China Grill
Howard Wang’s China Grill in Southlake was on the Carroll Education Foundation’s videography list today (July 17th) and we couldn’t have been more glad to be there.
First, Jowin and Howard Wang were both there and both willing to interview for the project – which is totally cool because it is the first time in this series where we actually had two participants. Second, during the interview, we found out that Howard Wang had started Empress of China in Irving in 1982.
For my own self, this means that I’ve been eating the Wang family’s food since I was 10- I grew up eating at Empress of China and it was always one of my favorite places to go.
The Southlake restaurant was decorated beautifully with plenty of Asian fare that one would expect. The father-son duo were excellent on-camera guests and did a wonderful job. Carroll Education Foundation Board Member Stephanie Pennington stopped by as well and did a great job in her section of the interview.
When you stop by Howard Wang’s China Grill in Southlake, make sure to order the Mongolian Beef, Hunan Chicken and Fried Rice – it was delicious! (a Big thanks to Howard!)
